At our premises, a day is measured in connections made, stories shared, and lives touched. Our full-day gastronomy and eco-cultural experience is designed as a living example of how tourism can directly support communities while preserving culture and the environment.
During morning hours, visitors meet local farmers whose knowledge reflects generations of sustainable practice. Guided through fields of cassava, pumpkins, and fresh herbs, guests learn traditional, eco-friendly farming techniques such as natural pest control and soil regeneration. More importantly, they participate, handpicking the very ingredients that will later be transformed into a shared meal. This moment captures the essence of sustainable gastronomy: understanding where food comes from, and valuing the people and ecosystems behind it.
By midday, the experience moves into a traditional open kitchen, where cooking becomes a powerful form of cultural exchange. Guided by a local chef, visitors prepare iconic Rwandan dishes using clay pots and wood-fired stoves, the experience concludes in a communal meal shared with local community members.
In the afternoon, the experience shifts from the table to Rwanda’s living heritage, as guests engage with local artisans, learning crafts such as basket weaving or pottery. These activities preserve indigenous knowledge, generate income, and empower local livelihoods.
As the day winds down, visitors are invited into a community dialogue—a rare and meaningful exchange with community members centered on conservation, community challenges, and how tourism can act as a driver for sustainable development. The day concludes with a herbal tea experience, where guests learn to blend local plants into natural brews, an introduction to Rwanda’s traditional wellness practices and a moment of calm reflection.
