The Amami Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture, inscribed as a World Natural Heritage Site in July 2021, still retain a rich and pristine natural environment. The fact that approximately 360 villages have survived for more than 750 years under the influence of diverse historical backgrounds and that each village has inherited its own unique culture with different dialects, songs, and dances is a valuable example that we should be proud to share with the world. Our mission is to pass this “village culture” to the next generation. In line with this mission, we have designed and operated Denpak is a brand of tourist accommodations that aims to pass down traditional / legendary architecture, villages and culture to future generations, and Magun Plaza, a place for community interaction. In addition, we are working with local residents to provide tourists with programs to experience village culture, thereby promoting interaction between the two groups and creating local employment. Through this kind of town revitalization that transforms everyday life into tourism, we aim to realize a society in which no one is left behind.
