Red Rocks Rwanda is an eco-tourism company and social enterprise dedicated to community development, wildlife conservation, and sustainable tourism. We offer cultural tourism initiatives that uplift local communities and preserve nature by integrating them into the tourism supply chain. Our eco-friendly backpacker hostel, campsite, and cultural center serve as an ideal base for unforgettable wildlife experiences, such as gorilla trekking and cultural interactions. Through our nonprofit, Red Rocks Initiative for Sustainable Development (https://www.redrocksinitiative.org/), we support community development projects that empower people across the Virunga Massif—a region rich in biodiversity and cultural heritage spanning Rwanda, Uganda, and the DRC. These projects promote sustainable development and empowerment.
We advocate for a tourism industry that embraces environmental, social, and cultural responsibility, striving to promote sustainability and leave a positive impact on visitors. We operate at the crossroads of culture, conservation, and community-based tourism, proving that sustainable development is not just a theory—it’s a way of life. With limited resources but unlimited vision, our organization has become a beacon of sustainability across the Greater Virunga Landscape.

Join us in bridging Rwanda’s cultural heritage with the global tourism market. Partner with Red Rocks to empower communities, enrich tourism, and create lasting impact. Your support will: empower women, youth, and rural households, preserve Rwanda’s cultural heritage for future generations, and diversify Rwanda’s tourism offer beyond wildlife and gorilla trekking. Align with SDGs 1, 5, 8, 11 (poverty, gender equality, decent work, sustainable communities). Contact us at: info@redrocksinitiative.org
