The Tourism Recovery and Resilience Dialogue (TouRRD) is organised by the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons, in cooperation with the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, the UN World Tourism Organization, and the World Economic Forum.
The dialogue presents insightful practical cases, and suggests answers to the following questions: how to survive in the short run in the COVID-19 context without neglecting the destination’s or company’s long-term resilience and sustainability, and how do leading public and private executives from around the world plan and implement according measures?
The dialogue thus provides orientation and inspiration to decision-makers of small and large tourism organisations alike. It brings together decision-makers from governments, businesses, and civil society. In three virtual events, three different challenges are tackled, namely:
1. How to restore consumer’s trust and confidence (18.11.2020)
2. How to turn future headwinds into opportunities (09.12.2020)
3. How to use data for a more balanced tourism (13.01.2021)
The events take place from 2:30pm to 4:00pm (Central European Time). They are conducted via ZOOM and offer the audience ample opportunity to engage in a high-level peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and experiences.
